Loads of Love - MFT Card Sketch 205

Today I made a card for the My Favorite Things Weekly Challenge. I had a couple of firsts while making this card but had fun and learned along the way. I hope you enjoy!

The image and sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Loads of Love stamp set.

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers. This was a first. I colored a separate image first to learn how they worked with the paper. I didn't get all fancy with shading this time. I'm sure that will come with practice (and more colors).

The little heart embellishment is from my stash. I think it was from Joann Fabrics.

This was a very fun sketch that I will be using in the future.

Target gift card holder

I have an amazing supervisor at work. She earned a rather high honor and our team decided to show our gratitude for all she does for us. She absolutely loves to shop at Target so we all pitched in and got her a gift card so she could treat herself to some retail therapy. I made this card for her and we all signed the inside. I got the idea from a post I saw on Pinterest.

I used Georgia Pacific white card stock from Walmart. I purchased a ream of it there. This was the first time I had printed from my computer on a card. I printed the top words. The circles used to make the target background were cut with Nestabilities in my Cuttlebug. I stamped the word "Target" using a Marvy Matchables by Uchida black ink pad and clear stamps from Fiskars Classic Alphabet set (I got these on clearance a couple of years ago at Joann Fabric). The stamping was a little light as the target is layered, so I went over the stamped letters with a black marker.
The layered target is only glued on three sides so that it holds a gift card.
I kept the inside just plain so that we all had room to write our congratulations and sign it.

She loved it!

This would be a pretty easy and cute way to show appreciation for teachers, supervisors, mentors, friends, and just about anyone that helps you meet your goals.

Thank You for club leader at work

This was the card I made from our team to the person at work who put together all of the activities and goodies for us.

I even decorated an envelope to match.

Plain white cardstock (ream from Wal-Mart)

Light blue cardstock (from my stash)

Cuttlebug Birds & Swirls embossing folder

Black cardstock (from my stash)

Black ruffled ribbon (from Hobby Lobby)

Teal ribbon (from Hobby Lobby)

The 'B' is cut from the Storybook Cricut cartridge
